I had a pretty good tournament, and it was a lot of fun. It was a crash course in learning my army list, and Cryx in general, as well as learning what Legion and Cygnar can do (first time playing either of them, really - minus 2 battles against Cygnar that were non-shooty in the last year and a half). I ended up going 2-1, with my last match against the winner of the tournament. I made some crucial mistakes, but my opponent's made some as well - and I definitely shouldn't have won my first round. I would have taken the tournament if I focused on a Scythian that was in my enemy's zone (to dominate), but his Warlock was also there and I tried to caster kill. I knew it was a long shot, but the fact that War___s don't contest was forgotten on me, and I worried about the wrong target. Overall it was amazing for sure, since I learned a lot (and games where I learn something are my favorite kind).
And then I got home and started working on my Blood Witches, Hag, and had a spurt of inspiration for Goreshade's basing. Not knowing what I was going to do with Goreshade3's base was what kept him in my painting reserve, so painting the bases of the lot began - and I began work on Goreshade's head:

I'm happy with the outcome, and I think the skin is pretty much finished. Maybe a highlight here and there, but for the most part complete. All that's left is the hair and the glowing eyes, and then I can move on to his wicked horse.
