WOooooooooOOoOoOo.

I spent the day at my local game store yesterday and managed to get in a few games of Malifaux and Warmachine. It was a lot of fun, and I must say I'm very excited for the future of my wargaming! I'm still really busy and bogged down by the sheer mass of stuff I own and need to paint, but making it managable is my primary goal for the next month or two. I've got to be ready for when Haley3 hits the shelves, after all.

Malifaux
--------

Ideally I want to run something along the lines of (can't remember exactly):

---------------

Master: Dreamer (Dreams of Pain, Otherwordly)
Totem: Daydreams x2

Miss Ery (Teddy)
Baby Kade (Depression)
Stitched Together
Stitched Together
Alps x2

*The list may be a tad different, but it wants to start with a 7ss cache, so I may have added too many Alps/Daydreams*

---------------

But I'm still testing the waters of the game, and whatnot. Dreams of Pain has a lot of flexibility, but also hinders my approach to not getting every model Neverborn has, as it helps to summon most of them to the board. Teddy and Baby Kade are the go-to damage dealers, able to deal tremendous amounts on their own,  and backed up by Stitched Together.

I haven't actually had the opportunity to play this list yet, as my Wave 2 cards haven't arrived so I still don't have the Stitched Together's cards, but I've been playing a variant of this list at 35ss and 50ss. So far I'm having a blast and really liking the individuality of each Master and Faction, and what they bring to the game.

Warmachine
----------

I splurged a bit into Cygnar as I continue to slowly paint up my Thornfall army. I still haven't painted any units besides the two Slaughterhouser ones from awhile back, so I need to get a unit of Brigands done before I can really start playing them so I can stick to a "play it painted" preference. Cygnar is very enjoyable so far, and I've focused on eHaley and eCaine. Honestly, I don't know why I didn't dabble with Cygnar earlier, as lightning/electricity, pistol-wielding, and time manipulation have always been the top of my theme preferences when it comes to the Fantasy and Sci-Fi genres. And even then the control elements are strong with Cygnar, and I've always prefered more of the control heavy armies/decks/whatever when it comes to games of all types. It's a match made in "why the hell didn't you play this earlier".

All of this means I've been pretty frantic painting up some Cygnar and building it. Using two lists designed with units I want to paint and that work well between both Warcasters helps this along. The major dilemma is this is coming at a time where I'm trying to grade different levels of commission painting, and resigned the Cygnar stuff to "Level 2". I don't know if I'm cut out for "quick and dirty" commission, and even the Level 2 stuff, while respectable, is making me a bit unhappy to own it. Not being too far into painting the Faction, I'm definitely considering going all out, painting it all up slower over time, and just not having a "Level" commission system. I'm fine with breaking even with my hobby, so keeping it pretty exclusive instead of trying to mass produce only modest quality paint jobs is something I may be fine with.

Infinity
--------

And that leads into my recent Infinity commission. I'm very excited about it, as I feel I have enough room to go all out. Infinity models are very inspiring, and I'm anxious to start painting some up tomorrow with the intent to do a showcase worthy painting level.
