My day was much less about painting than I original planned, but still have some progress to share. I decided to practice some glazing and the base was the best part to do that with. I've completed the face, hair, paints, and jacket at this point and am going to gun for the boots and other odds and ends once I get off of work today. The eyes look a bit lopsided, but apparently this was the only angle where that illusion occurs. The reasoning is due to a bolder black outline and not an actual eye size difference, so I'll tidy that up when I do the glasses.
He has a more steely eye look as I went with Underbelly Blue instead of the other blue color I used on the other models. Working further with colored eyes will be a bit of a challenge, I feel, as finding different eye colors that still can be seen from further away may be difficult. Can't be too dark or it blends too closely with the black pupil, and can't be too light or it blurs with the white of the eye itself.
The metal is just pig iron followed by a nuln oil wash so far, but it's in the early stages.

I purchased the Camera+ app for my iPhone, and so far the results feel very promision. I'm excited about what it may do for my future picture taking.
