And the army is complete...
...ly built. Now I can get back to painting.
I added magnets to the base so I can try something a bit ambitious. Here's a VERY ROUGH CONCEPT. It was put together to get an idea of what it'd look like, and the end result would be much more refined. I'm not sure about how I feel about it, but minus easier to travel with the bigger reason for the magnets is to just not use the idea if it looks stupid.

A new camera for an eCaine.
Saturday, May 16, 2015
eCaine doesn't shoot blanks.
New camera, a tripod, and a quick picture snap of some eCaine progress. The camera also has video, which apparently is a thing cameras all do now, so with a tripod I'm hoping to be able to get some awesome pictures of my stuff as well as a future in video battle reports. Welcome to the future, me.

Ol' Rowdy begins.
Yesterday was all about some commission Infinity terrain I have, and I'll post pictures later on, but this morning was all about Mr. Ol' Rowdy. The airbrush was broken out to use and practice with. I usually paint the base first and then work on the model, but a lot of the base will require most of the model to be finished to flesh out and consolidate my glow effects. The white areas are going to be lava, as the earth has broken around the might of Cygnar and Ol' Rowdy.

UPDATE:
I got some more work done, and started the base. Here's a quick update picture as my work day begins.
UPDATE 2:
And here he is finished. I just wasted a lot of time taking pictures and they all sucked. So I'll just queue this guy up for when I have some time and more models and just make it a thing I do that day.

A WiP post for a WiP model.
I'll just have this one post for Pendrake and I'll update it and add pictures.
My day was much less about painting than I original planned, but still have some progress to share. I decided to practice some glazing and the base was the best part to do that with. I've completed the face, hair, paints, and jacket at this point and am going to gun for the boots and other odds and ends once I get off of work today. The eyes look a bit lopsided, but apparently this was the only angle where that illusion occurs. The reasoning is due to a bolder black outline and not an actual eye size difference, so I'll tidy that up when I do the glasses.
He has a more steely eye look as I went with Underbelly Blue instead of the other blue color I used on the other models. Working further with colored eyes will be a bit of a challenge, I feel, as finding different eye colors that still can be seen from further away may be difficult. Can't be too dark or it blends too closely with the black pupil, and can't be too light or it blurs with the white of the eye itself.
The metal is just pig iron followed by a nuln oil wash so far, but it's in the early stages.
Update:
I purchased the Camera+ app for my iPhone, and so far the results feel very promision. I'm excited about what it may do for my future picture taking.

Aiyana progress. (Edit: And some Holt)
She's nearly complete here, although there are a few more details to add in. This is pre-metal highlighting, which ends up adding a lot to the end effect. Progress has been steady, so she should be complete tomorrow when I can start Master Holt.
Edit: And I got a solid amount of work done on Master Holt yesterday. He's closing in on home stretch already. I have two days off coming up, so I should be able to push through and finish off another model or two.

Cygnar and Lady Aiyana Progress.
Alright, I've decided to re-paint my Cygnar (all 7 models) to be higher quality than originally decided. Since I'm not one to repeat myself, I'm going to just switch lists for now and paint fresh models. It's likely I'll sell off the painted stuff and just re-purchase it all so I can do a bit better base work as well.
Cygnar - 35 points:
- eCaine
• Squire
• Ol' Rowdy
- Reinholdt
- Journeyman Warcaster
- Victor Pendrake
- Lady Aiyana & Master Holt
- Gorman di Wulfe
- Arcane Tempest Gun Mages
• Gun Mage Officer
- Greygore Boomhowler & Co. (max)
------------
I'm still not sure how I'll boost this up to 50 points, as there are a few solid options. Taking more bodies seems like a solid idea, as the list doesn't struggle too much with removing trouble anti-infantry models. Tossing in Rangers, Horgenhold Forge Guard, and Murdoch or Taryn is extremely likely. I could sub Rangers for Alexia, though.
The point of the list is to handle eHaley's bad match-ups. eCaine can do that by attrition or assassination (what a Feat he has!), and it's just a really fun list to play in general. Since I've been winding back a bit with my wargaming, I'm going to focus on 35 points until it's all painted and then shoot up to 50 points ASAP. I should be positive what I'm looking for by that time. I have more than enough stuff to play 50 point games in the meantime, but I'm trying to relax and focus more on painting for the next month or two.
And speaking of painting, here is my current progress on Lady Aiyana:
I've been wanting to paint her for awhile, so stocked to get her on my painting table. I tried to be a bit more than just black dots on the eyes, and even with this bad picture you can still make out the blue in her eyes. The back of the cloak is currently painted black, and I'm liking the contrast. I'm heavily debating painting up the Cygnar in non-metal metallics to get the practice in, and it's a decision I'll need to make pretty soon since I'll probably be getting to the metals on her tomorrow.
