Haqqislam Remote |
Pretty quick progress. The airbrushing and base was done alongside Tarik, so the tan parts and metal bits were all done in about an hour and a half this morning. The metal still has the drying glaze on it, so once that's all finished up I'll hit the key highlights with white and move on. It's a relatively small list of stuff to paint, so I expect this to be finished by tomorrow morning so I can rock out some terrain that needs painting for my Wednesday progress.
Warmachine/Hordes:
So, how's Cygnar going? Well, painting progress has slowed to a halt while whipping out the Haqqislam army for video battle reports. The more experienced of a painter I become, the more I want to focus on single models (hence why I almost hit a dead stop on my first Cygnaran unit). This doesn't bode well for my Warmachine armies overall. So I used some of my local gaming store credit and grabbed another army to fiddle around with - Legion. Considering it is THE faction for being able to pretty much avoid almost any units and still be a strong and competitive army is going to say a lot for it in the long run with me. I'll give it a go, and get to painting it once Haqqislam is all finished up. In the meantime I'm just basing and building in my spare time and going to try to get a few games in to see how, and if, I like it. I do love fury, and I do love Warbeasts. Being able to paint 10 individual models over time and have them in almost 75% of my lists is also a huge, huge sell to the army.
